A moment to pose will always be found.

Drip drip drip down from my lips,...landed on my thighs..
Love Spoken is like a beautiful hymn. There is God in music, there is God in love, there is God in me.

Blessed Friendship
This past week, it hit me like a tonne of bricks just how much love I have in my life.  Pure, unconditional, no expectations, easy, effortless love! I don’t even think I deserve all of it.   It's just such a blessing, just thinking about it warms up my heart into a mushy glob of emotion. You know the word friendship; it’s used very loosely nowadays. People meet new people all the time, folks walk in and out of your life, some bring joy when they enter, some when they leave. I’ve had my fair share of misses in the friendship department – but I’m the type of person who knows how to let go, so I have always been able to move waay past the toxic ones.  But I can safely say that I hit the jackpot with the friends I have right now.
They are the type of people who cry with you when you are sad, then tickle you till you all end up in a heap of laughter. They are the type of people who tell you off when you are in the wrong, no buying face, no pretence. Good friends have fights and move on, my friends. They are the type of people who rejoice even more than you when you achieve something, ready to give you a hug, make a fuss when you think it’s something so small. My friends are the type of friends who will give you their very hot pair of killer heels, because they look better on you. The type of friends that love it when you shine, not try and steal your shine.
This past week I had an all expenses paid dinner party to celebrate a recent achievement of mine, and as my girl made a mini speech, I had to choke back tears thinking, but what did I do to deserve such love! She cracked me up when she said   “Not only are we celebrating Busi’s achievement but we are celebrating having her around us for a few more months (as I had been threatening to relocate for the longest time) that touched me.  A lot of people take your presence in their lives for granted, I know I do it too, and when you realise how much you are treasured, it is so humbling and reminds you to be good to those in your life, because they deserve nothing less.
Three days later as I was rolling around bed, being a lazy bum, one of my friends who stays an hour away from where I live (but had been at the dinner party too) asked me to visit her , I cancelled my lazy bum activities and made my way to my girl.  We chatted, we were sad, we laughed, and we danced & sang karaoke and squeezed in a bit of shopping. This may seem like easy regular fun that girls get up to, but for some reason I was extra sensitive to the
love I receive this past week. I don’t know what it is; I have this overwhelming sense of gratitude. I am truly blessed. When my grandmother named me Busisiwe – meaning “Blessed” in Xhosa, she truly blessed me.
I guess what I’m trying to say is, every now and then, its important to take a step back and look at what you have, not material things but love, friendship, health. Look at yourself and ask yourself, do I make others feel the same way they make me feel? I know that’s what I’m working on right now.

strappy mary jane clogs

I'm all for bargain hunting! My love for everything retro means I comb out the rails in second hand stores as much as I do boutiques and department stores and ofcourse my 'corner secret' joints. But nothing beats a great quality buy on a trusted brand, when it comes to shoes! I've had thse shoes for 5 years now! My  strappy Mary Jane clogs by Carvela...and they still rock!!
